Print-Ready File Preparation
Professional File Requirements for Textile Digital Printing
To achieve quality results in digital textile printing, your files must meet specific technical requirements. This guide explains the file preparation process step-by-step according to industry standards.
Resolution (DPI) Requirements
Low DPI files result in blurry prints. Below 200 DPI is not accepted.
Color Mode (CMYK vs RGB)
- Screen display: RGB (Red-Green-Blue)
- Print output: CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black)
- Bright colors may dull during RGB→CMYK conversion
- Verify critical colors (brand colors) before printing
- Use custom profiles for Pantone matching
File Formats
Primary print format. Uncompressed, lossless.
For web preview. May contain transparency.
For vector printing. Requires RIP-compatible subset.
For editing. Convert to TIFF for printing.
